CAS Chess Round 5
This week the Trinity chess team played their last game of the 2022 CAS season against Cranbrook. At the end of the intense 1-hour long battle with Cranbrook school, the team managed to get a 6-6 draw which secured our position as second in the CAS chess competition overall.
Particular praise goes out to Ryan Hoang (8Ta), Angelo Shi (10Sc) and James Kim (11Ar) who won their games in a spectacular fashion!
Although this year’s season has come to an end, I trust that after seeing the abilities of our chess boys that we definitely stand a strong chance of winning the tournament next year.
The boys have all worked very hard this year on improving their chess skills and supporting each other throughout the rounds. Although we have yet to achieve the results we wanted, I encourage them to continue to try their best and carry their passion for chess into future years. I also wish everyone good luck in the upcoming JCL season next term and hope that they will never give up on their fighting spirit.
