What parents, students and alumni say about Trinity
Mr (Andrew) Murphy (Director of Athletics) and all the staff moulded me into what I am today. Mr Murphy got me as a 14-year-old boy and turned me into an elite athlete. I don’t know of any other school in the country where that could be facilitated.
Without Trinity he would never have made it to Tokyo in the first place. Had he not gone to the School, had he not met Murph and formed such a great partnership, there is no way he would have even gone to the Olympics.
I am eternally grateful to the School. Without Trinity my boys wouldn’t be where they are. It was outstanding, and fantastic for Ollie. The whole environment was supportive and nurturing.
I really felt super supported. If it wasn’t for that I’m not sure I would have finished (my final school year). I felt they (the School) always had my back and were always there to help me.
I am eternally grateful. They helped us in so many ways, and helped Sam to go the distance.
I wouldn’t be here now without Trinity. Opportunity is the one word that sums it up – academically, sports-wise and personality-wise.
This is our spiritual home. Manners, discipline, being on time – all those things were drummed into you from the moment I walked through those school gates, and I still carry them with me. I came as a boy and left as a man.
If you are from Trinity my arms and my house will be open for you. It’s part of the camaraderie and belonging to a school that guided me through the most important years of my life.
I learned a lot of life lessons, all shaping you to be a man. I learned about discipline, keeping your uniform up to standard, showing respect to teachers, all the little things that make an impression on people.
Trinity never let you take short cuts. You have discipline and stick to a routine. In business there is an honourable way to act. Trinity teaches about mind, body and spirit, and that’s where the spirit comes in.
Good teachers know how to make you love them and do the right thing for them. They are very inspiring people.
