H Stewart, L Rippon, L Young

A huge congratulations to L. Young (11We), H. Stewart (11St) and L. Rippon (11La) on winning the Australian Schools Interstate Water Polo Championships in Noosa as part of the NSWCIS Team. The NSWCIS Boys’ defeated Queensland Schools 15-14 in a penalty shootout in the final (it was 10-10 at the end of playing time). Additionally, L. Young is to be congratulated on being named Captain of the team and being voted as the MVP of the tournament.

K Young (Class of 2020) awarded College Scholarship to San Jose State University.

Congratulations to the Captain of Trinity 1st VII in 2019 and 2020 Kai Young, on being awarded a College Scholarship to San Jose State University situated in the heart of Silicon Valley in the United States of America. Kai recently flew over to San Jose to commence a college degree in Business Finance and to represent the Spartans in the Water Polo Division 1 NCAA Competition. After completing his studies at Trinity in 2020, in addition to playing in the Australian Water Polo League for Sydney University, Kai was a member of the u20 FINA World Championships Australian Squad. Unfortunately, the squad did not travel to Hungary last year due to Covid. Kai was also named in the Australian Men Olympic Paris and Beyond target squad alongside his brother L. Young (11We), as well as T. Rathbone (12Ke) and Tristan Glanznig (2020).

T. Rathbone (12Ke) Heads off to the U/18 World Championships in Serbia

Good luck to the 2022 Captain of Water Polo and Captain of Trinity 1st VII T. Rathbone (12Ke) who jetted off today to compete for the Australian Youth Team at the World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. The tour will include a training camp with the Montenegro and Serbian National Youth teams. We look forward to watching his progress with this National team. You can read more about this here.
