JUNIOR SCHOOL AUXILIARY MEETING
10 February 2022 – minutes
ATTENDEES – Mark Dunn, Stephen Heanly, Amanda Maclean, Jane Fry, Nikki Mesiti, Katherine Bhatia, Anasua Roy, Liz Dinh, Chrisa Fanos, Venessa Reidy, Louise Jones, Elissa Della Torre, Roderick Seeto, Helen Karlos
MARK DUNN – HEAD OF THE JUNIOR SCHOOL
Role of the Class Parent:
-Helping other parents – new parents in particular
-Facilitating information
-Communication role
No community events to be held on school premises under current COVID restrictions
Movie night to be rescheduled
JS boys discouraged from meeting parents at an interim location outside of school grounds. Parents to pick up from school.
Parents encouraged to use school app. Link on website on using school app.
Yrs 4 & 6 to trial iPad as alternative to Chrome Book
AMANDA MACLEAN – AUXILIARY VICE PRESIDENT
–Role of Class Parent:
-Email parent contact list
-Facilitate information
-Communicate with teachers
-Manage WhatsApp
-Add new parents
-Pass on Aux messages
-Coordinate Birthday/Christmas gift for teacher
-Organise volunteers for events
Yr 6 welcome event – The Briars. Perhaps all year groups to coordinate a welcome event
Gelato day – March 11th. Only online orders will be accepted. Class Parents to remind parents close to order date. Orders need to be in by March 2nd. Anasua/Liz to organise
Mother’s Day Stall- coordinating gifts to sell – 2nd May. Price range for gifts $10-$30. Left over stock to be sold at high school
LIZ DINH – AUXILIARY TREASURER
Current Funds – $31,000 not many opportunities to fundraise last year
Green Patch – $25,000 donation 2021
Yr 6 shirts and gift to be funded by Auxiliary

Hot Cross Bun fundraiser will be organised for end of term – will be sold in packs of six
Rafael’s Bakery to be used again. Katherine/Nikki to assist Amanda
JS Bus after school – request to leave earlier. Numbers to be looked at and considered
Artwork action – Yr 6 and Kindy only this year. Parent help to be coordinated.
