CAS Diving Championships

Our diving team won the Stephen Barnett shield back at the annual CAS Championships last night! The never-sagging team spirit made great achievements in diving with a great performance! Despite the strong competitors from Barker and Knox, the TGS team kept itself up on or near the top of each category. Hamish Turner impressed us all with his quality dives and by stepping up to also dive out of his division. Two divers won their individual categories. Joshua Leverton presented a very solid form in the Intermediate division and Lachlan Nguyen pushed all the opponents behind him with his very sovereign and precious dives. What I have really adored in these young sportsmen is the vibe, the morale throughout the entire Senior competition. The overwhelming theme of the night was the performance of the team, all boys contributing to the score sheet, represented especially in the Intermediate division where Trinity finished 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th, effectively blocking out Knox who were close after two divisions of dives. Pleasing was the way we kept helping each other with great comments, support and cheers.
